Jolicloud 1.0 Install Guide
Here is our brief 1.0 Install Guide. This is from the recently released Jolicloud 1.0 iso that was prepared and ready to get installed. Please refer to Jolicloud’s site for proper install method for your setup.
Boot your machine and you are greeted with the new Jolicloud 1.0 Splash:
The install is still the generic Ubuntu install, so if you’re familiar with their install, you’ll have an easy time with the Jolicloud 1.0 instal. To begin, select your language for your install:
Paritition your drive. If you only want to use Jolicloud, allow it to use your entire disk, if you want a separate paritition, configure that now. If you want to use Jolicloud side-by-side with Windows, use the Windows install feature, and do not use this method.
Here, put in your name, password, and give your computer a name.
Review your choices from above, and begin the install.
During the install process, Jolicloud has a powerpoint presentation on the benefits & features of Jolicloud 1.o
Once the install is complete, you’ll need to restart.
Now your computer will be booting from Jolicloud
Enter your username & password
Now you’ll need to connect to your My Jolicloud account. If you already have an account you can sign in with your username & password on the right side. Or, if you don’t have a Jolicloud account you can create a new one on the left. Or, if you simply want to use your Facebook account to sign in, you can connect with Facebook on the right side’s top.
After signing in with your favorite method from above, Jolicloud will find your account info.
Every time you sign in with a new device, you need to activate your computer, so Jolicloud can keep track of which device has which programs installed, as your programs/apps will sync across machines.
Once you’ve activated, you’re almost done.
Upon signing in, if you have any apps installed from other machines, the syncronization process will begin. Also, if there are any Jolicloud software updates, those will be applied now.
And now you’re signed in. Good luck!
