Joli on the MiniJolicloud on the Dell Mini

Dell has added a new option to the Mini 10.   Only available on the newest 10, the 1012 (with the latest Atom Pinetrail), the Broadcom Crystal HD Accelerator card is now available.

Broadcom’s Crystal HD Accelerator card will allow for HD playback with the latest version of Flash – 10.1 Beta 3.

The folks over at Engadget have a nice review from a preview of this new machine.

Full 1080P support on a nVidia ION powered Compaq netbook.

So, support for nvidia Ion, along with 1080p playback for HD video.   Pretty cool – here’s the pic:

The developers at Jolicloud did it.   Linux drivers that can be upgraded with kernel updates.  Here’s a quick video of HD video on a GMA 500 (Poulsbo) device.

Announcement on availability should be coming shortly.   This will allow us with Dell Mini 12′s access to a functional Jolicloud with 2D & 3D support.
